New Zealand bans foreigners from buying houses. The ban will start in early 2018. The ban is to tackle the housing crisis. New Zealanders are angry they have to pay more to buy a house. Many are issuing prices from the market. They can not go up the residential ladder. The government wants to stop foreign investors from raising home prices and making it easier for Kiwis to buy houses. The Government stated that our position is always that if you increase the supply, then you will be able to build it. He hopes the ban will take some of the heat "out of the home market.
