From the article I read, explaining that
common resources are unruly natural resource and social systems of individual
consumption levels. To avoid the tragedy of common interest, the privatization
or common ownership of common resources is often regarded as the most efficient
way to manage these resources. Alternatively, there are many examples of local
communities that have successfully developed local regulations and institutions
to manage their shared resources on a sustainable basis worldwide. In this new
global era of Anthropocene, it is vital to tackle global environmental issues
through a global governance framework.
