Title : Gender differences in reading habits between boys and girls from elementary schools in Estonia *
This
article discusses the gender differences in reading habits between boys and
girls in elementary schools in Estonia. The purpose of this study is to know what
stories they often read, how long they consumed reading and what stories they
read voluntarily without pressure. This research technique using quantitative technique
in the form of questionnaire which comprises 15 open-ended and multiple choice
questions. Sample taken from 140. The results found from this study show that
there is a difference between boys and girls in reading and preference. Boys do
not really like to read, they desire to run out of time to play computer while girls
more interested in reading.
