Article "Developing reading proficiency scales for EFL learners in China" (6th)

It is investigated from the synthesis of literature on cognitive ability and reading theory, defined reading abilities, in CSE, as the use of user or learner language from cognitive processes, understanding strategies, and their knowledge to construct the meaning of written material in various contexts and in various condition, of the four parameters appear to illustrate the reading ability of Chinese EFL students.

Then, qualitative actions (ie, interviews) and quantitative (ie, questionnaires) have been applied across countries to investigate and validate the classification of descriptors into different categories at different levels (to be completed). All data will be systematically encoded and analyzed scientifically. Beginning in 2014, the scale of readings, along with the scale of skills and other knowledge within the CSE, will have a tremendous impact on learning English, teaching, and assessment in this country.
