Article: A comparative study of teachers opinions relating to inclusive classrooms in Indonesia and Thailand

This article talks about the research and works of teacher in school between Indonesia and Thailand. Education in Indonesia and Thailand is not much different from other Asian countries, as in Indonesia, a disabled school for deaf, blind and mental limitations has been established as in Thailand it is embraced from the "Education for All" philosophy, in Indonesia in 1999 has turned the system into an inclusive school, meaning that everyone can go to school without discrimination. The government says that inclusive education is an education system that offers disabled people the opportunity to receive education in Indonesia. The goal is to provide opportunities for students with a variety of needs without discrimination regardless physically, emotionally and mentally disabled by getting a quality education according to ability. In this study there are four parts of the questionnaire that is the opinion of teachers related to their work, work environment, teacher fatigue, and support from various parties. The conclusion of the results is that teachers in Thailand and Indonesia should receive more support and ongoing training in order to meet the needs of students with disabilities. Part of the problem is inadequate teaching materials. In fact, some teachers are able to develop the material through their own personal money. The government should pay attention to this in the management of inclusive classes and other moral support. In this case the Ministry of Education should be more vigorous in promoting "Education for All" along with various strategies to develop student achievement of disabled students in inclusive class.
