Free Reading37 The Education System in New Zealand (Silvi Yani)

This paper mentions that education in New Zealand is required between the ages of six and sixteen. This means that all children of that age should attend school. Most children start their school at the age of five. Children attend primary school for 8 years or up to 13 years of age, before going to high school for the next 5 years, although some students may decide to leave school at the age of 16.
As New Zealand becomes more multicultural and welcomes more international students, the educational system adapts to meet the needs of different cultural groups.
