What I am reading this study investigates the perceptions of foster parents of children with disabilities regarding their interactions with school personnel. Qualitative analysis of the interviews resulted in the identification of five thematic areas, including the foster parent's perceptions of: the role of foster parents, the effectiveness of foster parents in helping children learn, invitations for school involvement, invitations for child involvement, and fostering children's experience in the school system. The marked differences were found in the perceptions perceptions of parents of primary and secondary school students.
