The effect of smartphone on the reading comprehension proficiency of Iranian EFL learners
This article, a study investigating the impact of smart phone use to improve the comprehension of reading comprehension of English learners in the city of Ilam, Iran. because Smartphones have turned into everyday objects for teenagers and many believe that this can be used to facilitate the language learning process. The expanded band - as well as the possibility of installing different applications on this smart phone has opened up new opportunities for learners to better leverage this technology to learn and understand different language contents.
a sample of 40 high school students (boys and girls) at the English institution Ilam Mojtama Fani Tehran was elected. Participants are divided into two groups; namely experimental and control. Using the pre-test and post-test and SPSS software applications, this study evaluates the difference scores of these groups on reading comprehension skills. These results show a remarkable difference between the experimental and control groups after one month of using the application.
